Women urged to embrace their beauty
GOSPEL musician-cum-businesswoman, Ms Plaxedes Wenyika, last week launched her line of female skin care products, calling on women to embrace their beauty.
Speaking at the launch of the “INI” line of products in Harare, Ms Wenyika called on women to take good care of their skin.
“I have noticed that as women grow older they tend to look down upon themselves,” she said.
“It is high time you start taking care of yourselves.
“This is what motivated me to come up with these skincare products and I have found myself getting that glow back again.
“It is important to love your body and to treat your skin. You are your own project; you are the gift that God has given to you.”
Wenyika said she named the products “INI” in order to bring out how personal they are.
“The name ‘INI’ is a Shona word which simply means myself.
“The reason why I called it ‘INI’ is because they are very personal and one should never forget about herself.
“These are daily skincare products made for African queens to remind African women that they matter.
“They face so many challenges but we want them to be able to take care of themselves.
“Our product range has serums that help with anti-aging.
“We also have products that are for
the whole body that include body scrubs and body oils to moisturise your skin,” she said.
The event was attended by several celebrities including Mai Rebecca Chisamba, Fungisayi Zvakavapano and Tyra Chikocho (Madam Boss).
